Geeez, ya Boys & Girls hammered Barney's Best LongShot Race last Saturday.
Our 6 -1 and 8 -1 LongShots ended up going off as the two Favs. They came in
for us..ran 1st and 2nd. But insted of $50 or $60 Exacta, "only" paid $20.20.....
As Grandpappy would say, "That's still better than a Kick in the _____ !!!!

Barney likes several ponies on today's card, but since we've been doing
pretty darn good in the Stakes Races, let's try once again to beat the Favs.:

7TH RACE RAZORBACK HANDICAP
#4 Win Willy -- After two races with them on, Blinks come off today. Trainer wants
to ensure this colt doesn't run to close to what should be lively pace. Do not be
surprised to witness another race like last year's Rebel Stakes. Ran last by 16 then
circled the field and WON going away...Win Willy...WIN !!!!

#8 Gone Astray -- Here be the likely Fav. Trainer ships in from Florida and brings
his $ Jock along for the ride, so ya know he be serious. So why is the Colt beatable?
The Stalker makes 4yr old Seasonal Debut, thus mite be a little "Short" in comeback
race, like he was when he made his 3yr old Seasonal Debut. Also faces this elders
for the First time. Otherwise, looks tuff....
#7 Racing Bran -- Is 2 for 2 after being Claimed by present connections. Should be
running just off the pace today and should once again get decent odds. LongShot..

9th RACE THE AZERI STAKES
#9 Euphony -- Lost a late lead in the Slop in Seasonal Debut 5 weeks ago. Over the
years at OP, Trainer's ponies almost always show nice improvement in 2nd start back
after a Lay-off. Mare LUVS the OP oval. Wide Post a concern today. But if able to get
position before the 1st turn, should have a nice stalking trip behind what looks like a
lively pace. Should get better odds than in last race.
#1 Freedom Star -- Has the speed and the rail. Tuff combo at OP in Route Races.
Also gets "Rail" Borel in the saddle. Trainer is 1 for 1 thus far in Stakes Races with his
West Coast shippers. And just like Trainer's Southwest Stakes winner, this one also
tries a dirt Track for first time in career. Other speedsters in this race, but this be the
one to catch and beat. Could be Co-Fav.
#4 War Echo -- This be the other Co-Fav. Leading OP Trainer ships from FG along
with his $ Jock. Should get perfect Stalking trip behind the leaders. Can not afford
to fall too far back, but should be "tighter" after Seasonal debut 3 weeks ago.
